After closing time at the corner bar, the bar owner hears a soft knocking at the door. He opens the door but sees no one so he goes back to his work. A few minutes later, he hears the soft knocking at the door again. When he answers the door, a voice says, "Let me have a beer."
The bar owner looks down and sees a snail wearing a little bow tie. "Give me a beer" the snail says.
"No" said the bar owner, "We're closed."
"I want a beer" said the snail. "Give me a beer!"
The bar owner is getting upset and kicks the snail. The snail goes rolling down the hill beside the bar.
Three months later, after closing time, there is a knock at the door. The bar owner opens the door. He sees the snail covered with dirt and his little bow tie is messed up.
The snail asked, "What did you do that for?"
